I’ve been trying to do a little spring cleaning the last couple of days. just tidying up, getting rid of things we don’t need or use, and some deep cleaning (I LOVE my new dyson). after catching up on my mid-mod bee blocks I haven’t had a chance to do much sewing. times like these are when I start playing with my fabric stash and dream up new projects. this time a wall hanging based on lynne’s qal . I’m pretty excited because she invited me to guest post later about it on her blog! let’s hope I actually figure out what I’m doing by then. so far I have two palette contenders.
a week in california and I somehow end up with no pictures to show but lots of fabric that proves I was a piqf. I had an awesome time with rangsiwan and definitely wish I lived in san fran so we could hang out together more, though I fear I would gain 100lbs if I did that.
it always takes me a few days or even a week to get back into my normal routine after a trip. (what is this cooking and laundry you speak of?) even my crafting lags behind while my brain and body try to get back into sync. I’ve slowly started a little sewing this weekend with some improv piecing for a mini quilt. there’s a little secret swap as part of the pollen8 quilting bee and even though I’ve had this fabric for months it’s taken me this long to finally get started on my project. I’m still not sure where I’m going with it, so I may bother you all tomorrow for advice/suggestions.
