big charmer quilt

I’ve been calling this the purple quilt, the birthday quilt, the big charmer, selfishness in a quilt, and the quilt of awesome. I’m pretty much indulging myself with this project. tons of fabric from the stash, some simple patchwork, and some silk batting.

hand stitching

all leading up to some hand quilting with perle cotton. we’ll see how long it takes. did I mention this is a queen size quilt? I’m just enjoying the process right now.

big charmer

I have a long way to go, but I already know this is going to be a favorite.

Love the fabric selections – I see a few in the stacks that are in my stash as well – – – and, is that a gray solid I see??? Hand quilting a queen – you go – can’t want to see the finished result!

    And hey, it is getting-off-my-ass-and-finally-commenting-friday!
I LOVE this quilt. Especially the fabric with the polkadots and panther. But the entire thing looks SO AWESOME. Also, it would go great in my orange bedroom. Which is kind of making me sad, because we will be leaving this apartment soon and will probably not paint the next place, where we will be stuck with dull white. I should make up some of Malka Dubrawsky’s extremely awesome colorful patchworky thingys for the new place.
