a little sprucing up
all of a sudden I decided I needed a new pin board. oh, and some sort of design wall. so this weekend tom was handed a to-do list that included finding mounts and hanging up my homasote boards for me. I finally finished the stapling last night and now I have some pretty boards up on our walls.

a little echino, thanks to lucinda!, and some essex linen is all it takes to cheer me up these days. it's so pretty that now I don't want to pin anything up on it! both boards are cut to 2'x3', which ended up being perfect for our little place.

since I had so much board leftover, I decided to use it for a mini design wall over my sewing machine. I wanted something big enough for blocks, I don't have room for something that would hold a whole quilt. I guess I could have used foam core or just simply pinned the flannel to the wall, but I wanted it to look more like a piece of art than something random on my wall. I'm sure I'll still be pinning things to the walls, I love having a little space for works in progres!

Super adorable! I have magnet boards myself from ikea & love them but I think I might need these in my office. :)
