My new obsession….

I am obsessed with the Loop-D-Loop book. I got it as a birthday gift and I can’t wait to start on some projects from it. I won’t start till I finish up some other things I need to knit up, so I can give it my full attention.

It’s an amazing book, with beautiful and edgy projects and photography I actually enjoy. A lot of the time I don’t like the pictures in knitting books and I assume it’s the project I hate. But then I see someone else knit it up and I fall in love. Well this book is instant love, I can’t stop gushing about it…..Teva is my new hero.

Yarn Stash

I figured I would show the stash I’m working from. I still have more yarn on its way, woohoo!, and I always welcome more. I reorganized it so it would look like a yarn shop, all nice, tidy, and, dare I say it, cute. This is also going to help me with the Yarn-aholics group in craftster. I’ll post a new pic when all the yarn is finally here. Maybe all that guilt will make me knit faster.

Here’s the latest hat I finished. I was done with it this morning, but I wasn’t sure if Tom wanted a team Z logo on it or not (he doesn’t).

This version cost 5-10 times as much as my first one, but I like it so much more.
He likes it so I’m happy. Now I need to refinish my wrap and start on my mother’s day gift.

Team Z hat

Yarn: Sugar n Cream in Red half a skein
Needles: Addi Turbo US 8 16″
Pattern: Craftster

Date Finished: 4.24.2005

I knitted a cotton version of the Team Zissou hat, I still need to add my blue Z felt patch to make it official. I used cheap yarn so I think the total cost was 50 cents for this. Maybe 60 once I add the felt. Super easy, super fast.
Go cheap hat!
